Unconstitutional, Wildly Inaccurate Lists Are Wrongheaded Idea to Control Gun Crime

As a #Progressive,  I might consider almost any legislation, if it held the promise of preventing even 1 gun tragedy. And then work to get it passed ASAP b4 the @NRA (Delusional #LaPierre). changes his mind. But this time, my hero @AlanGrayson is wrong. Are we getting so conditioned by fear and anger, that we absentmindedly toss the 4th Amendment out the window?

Secret lists of people, based on - In some cases, law enforcement's alleged suspicion (gut feeling), is the same heinous civil rights violation, SCOTUS ruled into law recently. Read Justce #Sotomayor's passionate dissent. She "gets" it, that police will have carte blanche to harass anyone (read MINORITIES), without probable cause.

Believe me, I absolutley want controls for who runs around cities with weapons of war. I just don't want any resources wasted on another unconstitutional plan. Especially when these lists are KNOWN to be laughingly inaccurate.

*Terrorist Identities Datamart Environment List

*Terrorist Screening Database (TSDB)

*The "Selectee" List

*The "No Fly" List
